The proficiency swim is held on Sunday 5 October 2025 at Craigie Leisure Centre, Lanes 1& 2 50m outdoor pool.

You must pay your own entry fee but once you have completed your proficiency swim you are free to enjoy a general public swim.

Please note all new youth members and members doing a new award need to do the preliminary swim. If you are not doing a new award this season, you will need to requal your current award before 31 December 2025 (details here Education & Training)

The Preliminary Evaluations are in place to ensure that participants are fit and able to meet the requirements of the qualification they are about to embark on (this is a requirement of SLSA and is compulsory).

Candidates will require their bathers and goggles, with an optional swim cap if needed.
