Earlier this year we asked our members to tell us what they wanted from their Club experience, where they thought our best opportunities lay and what could we be doing better.

The feedback from members underpins the Club’s strategy for the next 3-5 years, which is currently being finalised.

Our members told us we needed to focus on four broad areas to improve the member experience and ensure the growth and sustainability of our Club – Youth, Lifesaving, Surf Sport and Social.

There were some great ideas from members, many of which we are actioning in preparation for this season; some examples include:

  • A regular night for our Youth members down the Club so they can socialise in addition to Sunday activities
  • Opportunities for our Patrol members to get to know each other better to help build comradery within Patrol teams and across the Club in general
  • More training and education opportunities e.g. Beach Management, RWC (Jet Ski) and IRB Driver courses
  • Investment in Surf Sports and Lifesaving equipment

We will continue to update you on planned improvements and the Club strategy.
